Morsgail Estate

Morsgail

Morsgail Estate offers exciting and secluded salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing on both river and loch, with breathtaking mountainous backdrops. The fishing is principally on the Morsgail Loch, using two boats with outboards, and on the upper and lower rivers, which are easily accessible on foot from the lodge – making it easy to go out for a cast before breakfast or after supper. The lower river in particular has some beautiful pools.

There is also exhilarating fishing in the Ceann Loch Rèasort estuary, particularly in late June and early July, and the estate offers a further boat on the renowned Loch Langabhat. These latter three areas can only be accessed on foot and involve a three- to four-mile walk but are worth every step.

At Rèasort Estates we aim to encourage young, big and healthy fish. We follow the guidelines of the Western Isles District Salmon Fisheries Board as closely as possible. Morsgail system is catch and release on all migratory fish.
